π³ Toast is important
Iβm not saying it doesnβt exist, but Iβve never been to a breakfast restaurant that omits eggs from the menu. Youβre not going to have to drive far to find a restaurant that serves bacon and eggs for breakfast.
Eggs, for the most part, are mostly unremarkable and pretty much the same.
Flimsy toast, however, can ruin an egg.
Toast is important.
Johnny Dβs does not mess around with toast. Johnny Dβs toast is the best kind of toast. Sturdy, crunchy, the right amount of butter, and the perfect compliment for the also-delicious eggs.
Yes, you can order fancy coconut banana French toast waffles or a pork belly Benedict, please also know that the basics at Johnny Dβs are definitely not βbasic" π΄and the lines arenβt too long right now in the off-season!

β€οΈ A Fun Valentine Gift Idea
In the Lowcountry, the polite name for a cockroach is a Palmetto Bug. One Charleston jewelry designer gilded this loathesome insect and turned it into trendy jewelry. Yep, golden cockroaches are a thing in the South! The OG Goldbugs are bright gold, bold earrings that glisten in the sun.
Some will say βick!β but most will love them.
Sisters βMiniβ Hay Avant and Kathleen Hay Hagood designed the Goldbug Collection. They are fourth-generation family members of the Croghanβs Jewel Box located on King Street in Charleston. Youβll discover beautiful bespoke jewelry, and not just cockroaches! Palmetto bugs most likely and understandably give you the creepie-crawlies. And thatβs Ok. Less icky South Carolina inspired designs include Okra earrings, a queen bee pendant, and crab claws.
Shop Goldbug Collection at Croghanβs Jewel Box online or on King Street in downtown Charleston
